CSS Tutorials: Introduction What is a Style Sheet?A style sheet, known as CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets; they are used to change the properties of your scrollbars, text, font sizes, colours, and other styles you wish to add to websites, with one simple code rather than long html codes all over your site, which would be a nightmare to change; where as style sheets are quick and easy if you want to edit something. Why use a Style Sheet? Style sheets make your site look neater and more organised, instead of your pages each being different, using a style sheet will make them look the same; same font/colours/linktransitions, etc. Also, when you use a CSS Shortcut < LINK href="YOURCSSPAGEURLHERE.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" > on each page, the next time you need to edit it to match your layout, you just upload it and its done :) How do I make my own style sheets Firsty you will need a blank template of a style sheet, which you can find in my other CSS Tutorials, and you need some knowledge of understanding of how style sheets work, which you can also learn from my other css tutorials.
